Ford Mondeo by Loder1899

The just released new styled edition of the elegant Ford Mondeo is already available in a snazzy version. An early prototype of the Ford Mondeo inspired Loder1899 to create this artwork for the slick Ford. It was the car of choice for James Bond on his last mission in “Casino Royale”.

Equally suave and sophisticated is the real carbon Body Styling Kit from Loder1899.The discreet front lip and the lowering kit (35mm) underline the sportive keynote of the new Ford allowing the car to glide closer to the road surface. The elegant roof spoiler, the rear diffuser and the two branch stainless steel sport exhaust system (75x105mm) lends a powerful finish.

The real secret agent highlights are the 9x20” alloy wheels “Jacky” in polished shiny black or silver. The standard 220 hp Ford Mondeo gains an extra 50hp due to Loder1899`s motor management and the sport exhaust system.

The Loder1899 suspension system for the front and rear axles with adjustable vehicle height, gradient, pressure level and strut compression ensures luxury limousine comfort.

Cadillac SLS

The Cadillac SLS is a long-wheelbase version of the Cadillac STS luxury sedan, and is the the third in the range after the high-performance STS-V. The SLS is 100 mm longer than the original and was developed for a very specific market in China who demanded a more roomy luxury sedan. That market seems to also be present in the Middle East since the SLS will be making its local debut at the upcoming Middle East International Motor Show (starts 13 November) in Dubai.

“Middle East customers demand excellence in luxury cars and place a premium on quality and performance, the dominant attributes of the SLS, so we pounced on the opportunity to satisfy this demand for long wheelbase luxury sedans,” said Terry Johnsson, President, General Motors Middle East Operations.

All-new Cadillac SLS Ready for Middle East Entry

The Middle East will be the first export market for the Cadillac SLS, the long-wheelbase version of the STS luxury sedan. The car will be revealed at the Middle East International Motor Show in Dubai on 13 November and will reach regional showrooms in the first quarter of 2008.

The newcomer is the third variant in the successful STS range, after STS itself and the high-performance STS-V. The SLS is based on the STS, but with additional design and engineering work, as well as manufacturing, taking place at Shanghai GM’s state-of-the art facilities in Shanghai, China.

"With the arrival of the SLS, the STS family will become a strong three-member line-up. The STS and the STS-V have already established themselves as two successful cars, and the SLS is set to build on their success", said Terry Johnsson, President, General Motors Middle East Operations.

“Middle East customers demand excellence in luxury cars and place a premium on quality and performance, the dominant attributes of the SLS, so we pounced on the opportunity to satisfy this demand for long wheelbase luxury sedans”.

Elegance, comfort, and superior driving performance are the SLS keynotes, boasting an array of standard equipment that on many competitors is available only as optional extras.

Externally, the SLS is unmistakably Cadillac in styling. The diamond-faceted contours echo the geometry of its CTS and STS stablemates, mirroring the brand’s rich heritage of art in design, and subtle V-shapes, inspired by Cadillac’s shield badge, are a recurring motif in exterior and interior design execution.

The chrome pentagonal grille is a variant on the classic badge shape and points to the future of Cadillac’s exterior design language, with cues inspired by the Cadillac Sixteen concept car.
In typical Cadillac fashion, the SLS excels in interior design, fittings, and finishes, delivering an outstanding experience from any seat. The tone is set by luxurious ambient lighting that bathes the cabin in tranquil and elegant ‘Cadillac White,’ an automotive innovation modelled on first-class air travel.

The SLS has been comprehensively tested in harsh climate and driving conditions such as those it will encounter in the Middle East. Typical of its ability to more than match the environment is the independent tri-zone climate control delivered by the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system, specially developed for extreme temperatures. Using the Smart Keyless Entry feature, the engine and climate control can be started as far away as 60 metres from the car, ensuring that the perfect cabin environment is always waiting.

The SLS is an important step to grow Cadillac’s presence in a competitive luxury market and its introduction to the Middle East will strengthen the brand’s already powerful position in the region” said Johnsson.

The SLS will be on display on the Cadillac stand at the 9th Middle East Motor Show next month in Dubai.

Ford Fiesta Caught Undisguised

All is laid bare in these latest photos of the next-generation Ford Fiesta, the car having been caught undisguised - albeit a little grainily - featuring no plastic body panels and little more than the familiar chequered paint scheme. The new supermini, previously spied wearing bulky faux panels, now reveals the full extent of its affinity to the Verve, with both its shape and styling front and rear remaining true to the Frankfurt concept car.

The Fiesta remains true to Ford's 'kinetic' design approach for Europe, incorporating many of the Verve's aesthetic delights from its elongated 'feline' lights, to its swept profile and poised rear hatch, with the US-bound hatch remaining largely unchanged from the European version.

There are however several subtle modifications confirmed in the new car's camouflage-free guise. Detailing on the concept car's stylish grille, which is otherwise transferred to the Fiesta without incident, is not brought to production - a honeycomb mesh being preferred over the Verve's horizontal chrome slats design. 'Feline' lights stretch up the car's side front panel while the A-pillar flows raised onto the bonnet towards the front end - producing a more alluring hood panel, much like the Verve.

Confirmed in these photos is the culmination of the raked roofline in a rear tailgate spoiler with third-light. The rear lamps are transplanted from the stand to the showroom floor in all but the concept car's red tint, traversing up the beltline rather than a vertical alignment as on the current model.

A line-up largely identical to that of the present range's will be on offer, with petrol engines ranging from 1.2 to 1.6-litres. Two TDCi diesel powertrains will also be available, while the addition of a 1.6-litre TDCi Fiesta ECOnetic model will further enhance Ford's green range.

Based on Ford's B2E platform that underpins the Mazda 2, the new Fiesta is lighter and smaller than its predecessor, offering enhanced road handling and fuel economy, with crash safety being a top priority.

Market entry into the States is likely to be with a re-packaged version of this five-door model, atlhough modifications are expected to be kept to a minimum in order to retain its European charm, changes for the US market perhaps consisting only of specification options.

Stay with us for further information on Ford's next-generation Fiesta ahead of its release in spring next year.
